Salisbury Art and Framing, a fixture in Salisbury for more almost 40 years will be closing at the end of June. Marilyn Bookmyer, owner since 1987, announced her retirement and the store’s closing.
“With the recent death of long time framer Alex Ryan and my health issues (I will have a kidney transplant this summer), it is time to retire” Marilyn said. The store has done custom framing for the community from their location in the Wavery Plaza at North Blvd since 1972 and framed thousands of memories for generations of residents in the area and beyond.
Stop in soon during the ongoing retirement sale through the end June, with pottery, jewelry and other gifts marked down immediately to 50%. Prints, posters and other work is marked down 50% and art by area artist Sharon Himes is marked down 20% (current store inventory only).
Custom framing orders are limited to current stock and and customers are urged to pick up finished items as soon as possible. Many fixtures and displays will also be available for sale.
